FORGE-BLOCK
ETERNAL
Mold steel forged block and plate is very popular steel block for mold die , it will choose excellent alloy steel raw material and be forged.
Material :5CrNiMo ,5XHM , 55NiCrMoV6 , 1.2713 , AISI L6 , SKT4
Chemical specification
Carbon (C): 0.50-0.60%, providing a foundation for hardness and wear resistance. ??
Silicon (Si): ≤ 0.40%, improves strength but has a lower content to avoid brittleness. ??
Manganese (Mn): 0.50-0.80%, enhances hardenability and toughness. ??
Hardness: 38-47HRC
This steel can be quenched and hardened by cooling in air, and is prone to forming white spots, so it should be slowly cooled after forging.
For large forgings, they must be placed in a furnace at 600 ℃, cooled slowly to 150-200 ℃ after the temperature is consistent, and then cooled in air.
For larger forgings, it is recommended to immediately perform tempering heating after cooling to 150-200 ℃.
Mechanical property and heat treatment
Annealing: 760-780 ℃ Hardness: 197-241HB
Quenching temperature: 890-910 ℃, oil cooled, hardness: 61.5HRC
Tempering temperature: 420-550 ℃, tempering twice
Hardness: 38-47HRC

According to its size , it could be divided the following type:
1. forging block
2. forging plate
Its size range following:
Max width: 1500mm
Delivery condition:
1. Forged + annealing + black surface
2. Forged + annealing + polish
3. Forged + quenching /tempering + black surface
4. Forged + quenching /tempering + polish
